You could probably sleep almost anywhere, but to feel like being at home is a whole different story. Over here at Bianca B&B, it feels like entering a great home straight away. Maybe because Lea and Francesco (the owners) are young and live in the same apartment, or because the interiors are “design-friendly” and you can find the old and glorious Singer sewing machine, as a piece of art, in the same room as the big plasma TV screen and a huge fridge for the guests, which to be honest become more like friends over here.

Since they opened, last July, the rooms are always fully booked by both Italian and International cool young people. Some of them, will soon be coming back, because in Catania there’s always something interesting to do and see. Breakfast, and we shouldn’t even be saying it, is based around typical granite, cannoli di ricotta, pistach sweets, but also savoury delicacies. Internet is everywhere you’d like with wi-fi connection or with the laptop they can lend you. Also movies, records and books if you don’t feel like going out. And also custom made local maps, so that you can find your own special way around. Prices are perfect and the location outstanding, right in the centre next to the amazing Villa Bellini.
